Christina (Tina/Tee) will be reunited in heaven with her loving husband Frank and her devoted son Frankie. She will be fondly remembered by her daughters and their husbands Patricia Lord and Bruce Hengey, Regina and Ron Savarese, grandchildren, Jennifer and Martin Earley, Adam and Melissa Lord, great grandchildren, Annalese, Anthony, Adrian, Avery, Claire and Evan.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Anna (Strafaci) and Pasquale DeSimone, sister of Theresa (DiGangi) and brother Joseph. There, Christina's love of cooking and sewing (especially Madame Alexander Doll clothing) were taught at an early age by her mother and grandmother.
In 1947, she married the "love of her life" Frank and together they were blessed with three children. She was a devoted wife and mother and especially loved her role of Nan and Nanny. Christina always welcomed family and friends into her home with a warm smile and a fresh pot of coffee.
In 1997, Christina and Frank retired to Toms River, N.J. where they shared many cherished memories with their growing family and new friends. She especially enjoyed activities at the clubhouse where she often volunteered, bus trips with friends, and her Needlepoint Club.
Christiana's faith in Christ and her devotion to St. Anthony will remain a constant source of strength to all those who have been blessed to know her. She was truly a kind, gentle and selfless woman who touched many lives in many different ways and will be deeply missed.
Services will be private and she will be laid to rest with her husband, Frank, at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
