Ameline Amanda Peat also known as Ms. Ivy was born on September 28, 1914 in St. Mary, Jamaica to Adina Keys and Lester Peat.
She was the third of six children; she spent most of her childhood years in Days Mountain Oracabessa. She later relocated to Sandside where she resided with her family until she migrated to Plantation Florida in 2002. Ms. Ivy passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 10, 2020.
Ms. Ivy was a beloved mother and friend. She is survived by her six children Masie Lewis, Salome Williams, Danial Williams, Hortense Mckenzie, Henry and Retinella Taylor, Twenty Eight grandchildren, Thirty three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Ms. Ivy’s kindness had no limits, her love knew no boundaries and her devotion to her family was her life’s work. She enjoyed cooking for her family and sharing with her neighbors. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but will forever be remembered.
