Daniel E. Balestrieri, of Lisbon, Maine, passed away at his home after a period of declining health on Tuesday, July 28th, 2020 at the age of 66. Danny was born to parents, Edward and Betty Balestrieri, on March, 13th 1954 in Portland, ME. He graduated from South Portland High School in 1973. He started his boilermaker career directly after high school and was a dedicated member of local 29 for his lifetime. He had a huge heart and especially loved spoiling children. One of his favorite past times was to attend family gatherings. He enjoyed driving his Harley to his nephews’ and nieces’ various car and canoe races, triathlons, snowmobile races, pinewood derbies, and stock car races as a supportive uncle. For many years he was in the RC car circuit. He especially enjoyed attending stock car races. He was a friend to everybody, and he was there if anybody ever needed help. Danny is survived by his sister, Diane and her husband, Mark Armstrong; their daughters, Angela Armstrong and Melanie Ayer; his brother, Douglas, and his son, Dillion; his sister in-law, Cathie, and her two sons, Dustin and Drew; numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, beloved friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Betty and brother, David. A graveside service for Danny will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 8th at Pleasant View, (Shiloh), cemetery in Durham, Maine.
