It is with great sadness that the family of Terry MacDonald share news of his passing on August 15, 2020 at the age of 64.
Terry was born in Lachine, Quebec on February 29,1956 and as his father was in the Canadian military, Terry had the opportunity to live all over the world including Belgium, France, Germany, Manitoba, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
He followed his father’s footsteps and became a member of the Canadian military ( navy) himself and was posted in Victoria. After the military, Terry decided to make British Columbia his home and remained there for the rest of his life.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Janet Lorraine MacDonald and his extended family.
Terry was loved by everyone and will be remembered for his amazing smile, sense of humour and his kind nature. We take great solace in the fact that Terry was living a happy life in Vancouver and had many people that loved him.
Terry was predeceased by his father Malcolm “Satch” MacDonald and his sister Susan Diane MacDonald.
Cremation has taken place and Terry will be interred at Boal Gardens, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Glenhaven Memorial Chapel. 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. Phone 604-255-5444.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff of the Hazelton Hotel, Vancouver, especially Maddie Carlington for taking care of and loving our dear Terry.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Glenhaven Memorial Chapel and Boal Gardens for their tremendous support and care during this difficult time.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers any expression of sympathy be directed to a charity of your choice.
