She was born in Fort Polk, LA and grew up in Boone, NC. A member of the 1999 graduating class of Watauga High School, she went on to live in many places before settling in Charlotte, NC. In 2018 she earned a degree in Medical Billing and Coding from Brightwood College. She will be remembered for her love of music, travel, animals and her friends and family. Although she will be missed dearly, we are forever grateful for the family who granted Vida an additional 5 years of life through the gift of organ donation. This journey would not have been possible without the remarkable medical staff and doctors at The Cleveland Clinic, led by Dr. Kareem Mohamed Abu-Elmagd, who treated Vida like family.
A Celebration of Life Party will take place on Friday evening, October 2, 2020 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at The Roost at Butler Farm, 3079 Pike Farm Road, Staley, NC 27355. Please come and join us for a fun night of celebrating "Vida Style"; flip flops, jeans and a cool t-shirt will be the attire.
