She was born on April 3, 1932, in Lebanon, MO, to James Herman Mizer and Lela Iva (Lynch) Mizer. Bonnie attended the Lebanon schools and graduated in 1949. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for the Lebanon Broadcasting Company for six years. She married Emery D. Collier in 1953 and made her home in the Kansas City, MO, area. She was a member of the Lee’s Summit Business Women’s Club in Lee’s Summit, MO. She retired from John Calvin Manor Retirement Home in Lee’s Summit as Assistant Manager in 1984 and moved to Pomme de Terre Lake area and later to Bolivar, MO. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar.
Her husband, Emery D. Collier, preceded her in death on February 19, 2006.
She is survived by five children: Randy D. Collier (Patricia) of Branson, MO, Vicki R. Conrick (Bill) of Grandview, MO, Ronnie L. Collier (Kathy) of Port Orchard, WA, Kimberly Heuman (Don) of Boise, ID, and Connie Shahan (Mike) of Galveston, TX; ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, November 23, at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, 25203 E US Hwy 50, Lee's Summit, MO 64086.
