James Chalmer Stamper, age 85 of Franklin, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 4:01 AM. Born in Campton, Kentucky on November 28, 1934 he was one of 5 children to the late Oliver & Vergie (Culberson) Stamper. James spent his life as a woodworker. He had many jobs over the years with various companies as a carpenter, cabinet and model maker. He met the love of his life, Regena and they married on May 6, 1961. James enjoyed watching Ohio State Buckeyes and University of Dayton games, NASCAR races and CERA plays. He was a fan of all Carlisle High School Athletics, and had previously served as the president of the Booster club. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors; he liked to watch the birds and the squirrels. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Jeff Stamper: sisters Dorothy Swindler; Wanda Davis.
Survived by his wife of 59 years, Regena (Brandonburg) Stamper: sons Greg (Shelley) Stamper; James Timothy (Cindy) Stamper: grandchildren Amber (Jubal) Sweeten; Holly Stamper; Cheyenne Stamper; Tasha Hamlett; J.J. Stamper: great-grandchildren Lily, Ivy, Jackson, River, Phoenix, Marley, Ryker: brothers George (Beve) Stamper; Bill Stamper: as well as many more family members and friends throughout the years.
