Robbie Fay Rodgers, 95, of Fairdale, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. She was born in Cave City, Kentucky on September 20, 1925 to the late Wade and Annie Highbaugh. She was a member of Okolona General Baptist Church for over 60 years. She played the piano for many of those years and cherished her church family dearly. She was a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Robbie is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Jimmie C. Kane and 2nd husband, Clifton Rodgers; sons, Steve P. Kane, Dennis R. Kane, Roy Rodgers and Jimmy Rodgers; 5 siblings and many other extended family members.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Phillip Kane, Jimmie (Valerie) Kane, Hope (Stan) Huddleston, Sherry Clifford, Timmy Kane, Peggy (Don) Warren, Jan Wilson, Ginger (Ricky) Martin and Jennie Rodgers; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Geneva (Phil) Applebaum.
Visitation for Robbie will take place from 2:00-8:00 pm on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home (411 Fairdale Road). A service to celebrate her life will take place at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Okolona General Baptist Church (1222 Bates Avenue) with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Robbie’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
