Lance Cody Culver, 30, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to everyone he knew.
Lance was born on August 29, 1990 in Merriam, Kansas to Judith “Judy” E. Ewertz-Culver and David L. Culver. Lance attended and graduated from Blue Valley High School – Class of 2009. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and attending sporting events. Lance worked for Dawn Foods as a professional truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Nothing gave him more pleasure in life than the time he spent with niece Hallie and nephew Phoenix. Gathering together for a Bar-B-Que was always a good time, being around his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.
Lance is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John and Bertha Ewertz and by his paternal grandfather Joseph Culver. He is survived by his mother Judy (Bill) Springer of Lenexa, Kansas; father David L. Culver of Olathe, Kansas; sister Jenna Culver (fiancé Skyler Nichols, one of Lance’s best friends) of Stilwell, Kansas; and his paternal grandmother Donna Culver of Iola, Kansas. Left behind to cherish his memory are his niece Hallie Bellmer and nephew and Phoenix Nichols; best friends Kyle Veasman of Arcata, California, Julian Nichols of Sydney, Australia, Jeff Pratt of Spring Hill, Kansas Joe Sutton of Stilwell, Kansas, in addition to many other friends; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lance will be cremated according to his wishes. A “Celebration of Life” honoring Lance will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 9:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church located at 21650 W. 115th Terrace in Olathe, Kansas (main entrance by the flag pole).
