Expedito (Eddie/ Porfi) of Winter Springs, born in Puerto Rican passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021, surrounded by family. A beloved husband, father, and Grandfather”, he is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Carol Levy; daughters, Erlinda, Carmen, Ida, Sabrina, and Suzette. Sons Alexander, Vinny, and Robert, as well as 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Expedito had spent most of his life in New York City. Whereas a child loved to play ball, had a love for classic cars and working on them, playing pool, bowling, and water aerobics. Expedito loved traveling with his wife Carol and going on Cruises and visiting popular landmarks. He was always passionate about staying healthy. He later moved to Florida in 1988.
He served in the U.S Army as Sergeant First Class from 1952 to 1997. Where he had gone to College and Medical School to become a Licensed practical nurse. His most favorite time in the Army was his tour in Alaska. He also drove for the MTA in New York for over 18 yrs. Soon after retirement, he became a School Crossing Guard for 10 years cause he had such a love for children.
Expedito was a man of wisdom and encouragement. He was the life of the party and was known to dance to his favorite music, Salsa and Merengue. Loved Karaoke, telling jokes, and had a smile that would light up a room. He loved the good Lord and had a passion for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ whenever he could.
We are left to cherish his loving memory and will be dearly missed.
Visitation for Eddie will be held Monday, September 13, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 5000 Co Rd 46A, Sanford, FL 32771, followed by a celebration of his life on September 14, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Immediately following, he will be given military honors and laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754.
