Bill passed away at home at the age of 82 years. Bill was a kind man who always put family first. He retired early from Telus to enjoy his model railroading, photography and collecting almost anything he thought to be interesting. He was a very social person and organized several “old guys” and “cousin” lunches. He enjoyed the company of his fellow “train nuts” getting together frequently to talk trains. Bill was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for many years, including the RCAF Reserve, the IRISH and REAME.
Bill was an “Akela” with the Burnaby Cub Scouts and managed both his sons’ soccer teams. Bill loved animals, especially dogs and had many over the years, the last being “Buddy” a boxer dog who adored him.
Bill was predeceased by his eldest son Rod in 1983, and his parents in the Okanagan, as well as his brother Juraj in Slovakia. He will be greatly missed by his wife Pat (Wallace) who survives him and his sons Ryan (Kristi) and Russell (Sandy), his 5 grandchildren, Dylan, Jordan, Kaley, Kelsey and Sarah. Bill also leaves behind his brother in law Bill Wallace, his nieces Karen and Lisa and a nephew Peter in Slovakia. We will love you always and miss you.
In lieu of flower donations to the charity of your choice will be appreciated. No funeral by request; a memorial service will be held at 6890 Rockford Place, North Delta on 25th January from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. All welcome.
