Our chapel is a warm, traditional space with pew seating for up to 250 guests. Its soaring A-frame ceiling and large stained-glass window create an atmosphere of beauty and reverence. A private room beside the chapel offers your family a quiet place for reflection and remembrance. Whether traditional funeral, cremation memorial or celebration of life, we’re honored to help you plan a meaningful and personal farewell. We also arrange transfers to anywhere in the world.

A resting place of beauty and peace

Unique feature at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and CemeteryOur memorial park is a place of quiet grace, where tree-lined walkways lead to burial gardens, columbaria, private estates and shaded benches for reflection. Every path offers comfort and continuity, with spaces thoughtfully designed for traditional burial and cremation memorialization.

Memorial Mission Mausoleum and Mission Memorial Mausoleum II, opening in 2027, bring together the best of both worlds—climate-controlled interiors for year-round comfort and serene outdoor surroundings that invite peaceful visits. Within their walls, you may choose traditional casket spaces or glass-front niches, where treasured keepsakes and mementos can be displayed.

Houston’s first feng shui-designed cemetery

As our community has grown more diverse over the decades, we’ve embraced opportunities to serve families in ways that honor their cultural traditions. In response to the needs of Houston’s vibrant Asian population, Forest Park Westheimer created two culturally significant spaces: Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park and Garden of Eternal Peace at Forest Park. Both were designed with a feng shui master.

Nearly 25 acres, Garden of Eternal Peace at Forest Park is balanced and harmonious. Four pagoda-style entrances, each adorned with celestial animals, welcome visitors into a space designed to enhance the flow of qi. A circular fountain graced by a crane, fish, frog and duck—representing blessings of longevity, abundance, transformation and peace—sits at the heart of the garden. Options include bench estates, walled estates, private mausoleums, flat or raised monuments, and more.

You’re welcome at our events

Celebration of life venue for services, gatherings and receptions at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and CemeteryOur doors and hearts are always open. Throughout the year, we host gatherings that bring neighbors together to remember, reflect and find comfort in one another’s company.

On Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who gave their lives for our country with heartfelt tributes. Moving speakers, stirring musical performances—including singers and bagpipers—and a touching balloon release fill the day with gratitude and remembrance. Families of service members get roses and American flags as a small gesture of thanks for their sacrifice.

In early November, we invite you to join local Catholic priests in praying the rosary during our All Souls’ Day service. Together, we walk the cemetery grounds as priests bless each loved one’s grave with holy water—a tradition of beauty and meaning.

As the year draws to a close, we welcome people of every faith, culture and belief to a Tree of Remembrance service. This nondenominational gathering is filled with candlelight, music, sweet treats and moments of reflection. It’s a time to celebrate the lives we’ve lost and draw strength from the healing power of community.

The history of Forest Park Westheimer

Unique feature at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and CemeteryThe Forest Park brand family began as a single cemetery in 1922. Starting in the 1950s, it was transformed into a full-service funeral and cemetery provider. It later became part of the Dignity Memorial® network, while preserving strong local ties and a heritage of excellence.

Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery opened in 1956. Known initially as Calvary Cemetery, it began as a Catholic cemetery blessed by the Houston-Galveston Archdiocese. While our roots are Catholic, today we welcome and serve families of every faith, tradition and culture.

Founded by James Forbis Eubanks, the cemetery once sat along a quiet two-lane road, surrounded by open cattle fields. As Houston grew, so did we, and eventually we became one of the more convenient cemeteries in the western part of the city.

In 1976, we added a funeral home on the property, making it possible for you to make both funeral and burial arrangements in one place.
