Some of the most cherished memories of my mom are how she truly found joy in the smallest things. 

The glimmer of Christmas lights, the first snow fall of the year,  random designs in the clouds and the changing colors of leaves in fall.  

Her face would light up every single time she experienced one of them, just as if it was her first time all over again. 

Her smile would reach ear to ear, her eyes would light right up and often she would gasp or say ohhhh look at that! 

She found pure joy and beauty in the smallest things.

Our deepest condolences to April-Lily, Rosanna, Sarena, Terry and families.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.  May special memories warm your hearts during this time of sorrow.  

Arlene was a dearly loved sister and sister in law who blessed our lives.  Even though we weren't able to see her very often, we always enjoyed our phone calls and cards over the years.  

We fondly remember our visit to Abbotsford in 2016.  Arlene chose a sushi restaurant.  Several hours flew by as we laughed, joked with each other and reminisced.  What fun it was!

We will always treasure Arlene's radiant smile and quick wit!

May God comfort and bring peace to all who are grieving.  

We will miss you!  Rest in peace dear sister!

Granz was many things, kind, caring, strong willed, and most of all a loving grandmother.

The memory im going to share has been one ive always thought of to bring back a great laugh my mom, sister, and I had together with her.

The exact details may not be 100% accurate due to it being years ago but the memories true feeling are never diminished.

Granz used to live with us at near 64th street in surrey. We were all sitting down in the living room chatting about who knows what when my mom and Granz started debating about something. I don’t remember what it was but most likely it was something as significant as if its right to crack an egg small side up vs large side up.  As they debated this “most important topic” the conversation started to get a little more heated due to two very strong wills clashing and not wanting to give ground. Just as the conversation was going to escalate Granz stops the conversation by saying. “Ok Sarena lets stop this here. We both have our opinions” my mom replied with “yes i agree”. Just as i thought the Battle of the wills was over Granz says in a lower tone. “But just so you know…. My opinion is the right opinion” That statement there she made caught everyone off guard and instead of back lash from my mom we all had one Hard laugh. And to this day they saying “we both have our own opinions, But my opinion is the right one” still runs in our family. And it will keep running because i have every intent to keep that up with my children.
