

Charlie is survived by his wife, Sheila, sons John (Leslie), Jim, Jason (Janice), by grandchildren Jillian, Bryan, Adam, Katie, Jesica and Kameron, and three great grandchildren, Caden, Braidon, and Alyssa.
An accomplished athlete, Charlie and his partner, Arthur Jordan, competed in the c2 class at the Lachine Racing Canoe Club. This was followed by a 17 year career as a professional hockey player. As a goaltender with the Montreal Canadiens, Charlie was awarded the Vezina trophy twice and was a member of six Stanley Cup winning teams. Following his playing days Charlie stayed in hockey as a talent scout for three NHL teams, Winnipeg Jets, Tampa Bay Lightning; winning two additional Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 29 at 12:00 noon at the Westwinds Community Church, 6331 176th Street, Surrey, BC. Reception to follow.
