Elvera "Val" Loewen

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Jerry, son Mark (Cindy), granddaughters Emily (Tate) and Isabel. She is also survived by her brother Eric (Norma) Janzen as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Herman and Helena Janzen.

Val will be very much missed by her many wonderful friends.

Val was born on March 14th in Comox, BC. After attending UBC, she received her Laboratory Technologist degree and worked at the MSA Hospital and later with BC Biomedical Laboratories.

Val enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, reading, gardening, solving crossword puzzles, cooking, baking and travelling with Jerry, both in their motorhome and internationally.

Her family will greatly miss her beautiful smile, kindness, sense of style and her lovingly prepared and delicious meals.

We wish to thank the medical staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital for their loving care over the last several weeks.

A private memorial service will be held with family to celebrate Val’s life.
