Janet Elaine Whaley

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Janet Elaine Whaley, who left us peacefully on October 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Janet was a remarkable woman whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She lived a life filled with compassion and grace, always prioritizing the needs of others and finding joy in caring for those she loved. Her gentle spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love made her the heart of our family.

She shared a beautiful life and enduring love with her late husband, Bill Whaley, who preceded her. We find comfort in knowing they are together again—two souls reunited, hand in hand, watching over us with the same love that guided them through life.

Janet thrived in the company of family and friends. Whether sharing stories, offering words of comfort, or simply being present, she made everyone feel valued and cherished. As a devoted mother, an incredible grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loyal friend, she touched many lives.

Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and strength—qualities she shared freely with all who were fortunate enough to know her. We are eternally grateful for the time we had, the cherished memories we hold close, and the love she gave so generously.

Janet will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends who were blessed to be part of her life.

Her love lives on in each of us.

A visitation for Janet will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at The Salvation Army Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Rd, Abbotsford, BC V3G 2E2. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 35190 Delair Rd, Abbotsford, BC V3G 2E2. A reception will occur Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Cascade Community Church.
