John was born to Helena and David Friesen on July 12, 1928 in Steinfield, Ukraine. His mom and three sisters came to Canada in 1948.
He was predeceased by sisters Helen and Katharine.
He is survived by his loving wife Samrab, son Anuwat and his sister Anne.
To his family, John was a kindred spirit, a sole provider and showed love in his own way to everyone. John met Samrab and they were married on September 1990, in Thailand. He was known as a loving and caring husband and passionate farmer in his community.
John valued a God centred home and made sure to provide a loving house for anyone who entered. John always made quality time for his family, remembering precious moments together.
Let’s celebrate John’s life at his memorial service this coming Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Emmanuel Mennonite Church, 3471 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC V2T 5N1.
