Knox changed my life. Justin, rather, let me join DHG when I was definitely not the age requirement, checked in with me, talked to me all the time. When he’d give us the seemingly endless knowledge of an obscure question we’d ask, I’d joke and call them knox-isms. He spoke of his children with love, and I envied that. I lost my father at 13, and he was an important man in my life. He checked in and called with me for hours to discuss my awful love life, or college. My facebook got hacked, and I dropped off of socials all together. Finding out last year that he’s been gone broke my heart, and I don’t know if I will ever find all the pieces. I knew you forever like since we were little you were a big part of me a big part of me becoming the person I am today. Ive had a while to think of what to say, and here it is. Justin had made a very memorable impression on almost anyone he has ever met. Some good, some bad. I met justin back in 2012 when i started working at Jims pizza. This bugger started 2 weeks before me and he was a know it all haha. After a while we became friends. We argued a lot, we laughed a lot. Heck, we even lived together for a little while. He has suffered a lot and tried the best he could for the people he loved.  We moved to Oliver together and we had some extremely fun times including camping, 4x4ing, visiting his very good family friend up at her horse ranch. I like to think I got him out of his stay at home and work bubble. The one thing he said to me about dying is that when I am on my death bed I want to be surrounded by people who have the good memories of me. And he got that as best he could with covid around and that makes me happy. Rest in peace Justin. One love.

Though I may not have known Justin as long as some. I would argue that I knew him as well as most. He and I were cut from the same cloth. When I first met him it was an instant friendship. We carried the same passions. We spoke the same languages we loved the same games, shows, movies. In my opinion his taste in entertainment was impeccable. 

Justin worked along side me in the culinary world. You learn alot about the integrity and the true grit of a person as you hit your 12th hour of a non stop rush when the tickets are still printing out to the floor, which we call a white out. 

With Justin there was never any fear. I could call something. He would already be on it. Always that 1 step ahead. He was the analytical to my abstract. We have all lost a truly remarkable treasure of a human being. You will be missed my brother. 

I have lots of good memories of Justin. We lived together for quite some time. Always happy and easy going. Such a gentle soul. My most favorite memory of us when my dad took us all fishing to Vedder river. Many more good memories of us as well. Until we meet again bro. R.I.P.

Justin was a great man, and it sad that he's not here with us. I miss him everyday,  and no matter what I know he's still here in my heart. I miss you uncle Justin😭❤

When we first met, me and my friends were intoxicated in 7/11 and Justin was the one working that night. We got stuck trying to figure out what snacks we wanted so he asked "you guys need help with snack choosing" don't remember much of the night after that. We went in enough times that we started referring each other by names. Back in 2020 you moved in and we all became very good friends. You gave me a lump sum of money for a pc so all of us in the house could play games on the same system, the part that erks me is you never asked for anything in return. You talked me through some of my worse days imaginable and we shared lots of stories back and forth. You are and will always be considered one of my closest friends. Thank you for everything 

I've known Justin since he was a young boy. We used to play together as children and grew up to be roommates/good friends as adults. Over time we grew apart but I had always wished we hadn't. Justin would never judge and you could tell him anything. He was an awesome friend, good father and I could only imagine how great of a partner he was. Unfortunately a time came where I had to keep my distance as we grew further and further apart.  Now that this has happened I wish I wish we stayed friends because I feel like he needed good influences in his life, who didn't  party anymore.  I will always be sorry for not being a better and closer friend. Now I can only share memories. I will always miss you and love you Justin. I promise to be there for your mom and hopefully though me she can get positive memories of you.

Justin was always like a big brother to me. He always came over and made his delicious lasagna. He gave me hugs like a big brother alwase does. He treated me like I was his little sister.Now your walking the stairs to heaven, and through the golden gates. I love you big brother.


Justin was always the one person I could talk to about anything, I spilled a lot of secrets I had told nobody else, and he always listened intently and heard what I had to say, offered his advice and his knowledge, and never judged (well, too harshly). He always said he was the worst kind of person, and no matter how many times I told him he was an exceptional person for going through what he had and he still always found joy and had an incredible will to keep going. It hurts now knowing I won't be able to walk out of my bedroom door and say good morning or howdy through his bedroom door anymore, but I will always remember it. When Justin first moved in with us back in 2020, he had said "I hope I am not burdening you guys..." and we had told him "No, not at all, it's good to have you here, welcome to the gang." All the memories we made, all the games we played, all the stellar food he cooked, everything, it's too much to list, but I will always remember his shining excellence. Until we meet again Justin, you will always be missed, but you will never be lost from my heart. My condolences go out to anyone else deeply impacted. 

We had some good times. You were always in the best spirits and taught so many people valuable lessons in life. You introduced me to some really good people and were a foundation in creating friendships I’ll have for the rest of my life. Your crazy theories, confidence and stubbornness were something I could relate to and wish I could have found the time to hang out more in recent years.

Justin, in the same way we met, I will say hello to a fellow Justin. You and I have had a long history, we met years ago back in the Halo Reach and Black-ops days, we were tea-bagging each-other and having a general blast. Somehow in the mix of all of this, we found out that both of us were named Justin. Our friendship started from there. We remained friends through the years playing different games, running halo clans, and having friendly competitions for laughs. These were some of the best years of my life. I always had you to come back to after college, in the thick of it, and when the going was tough. I remember talking to you about your issues, family, life problems, and offering my ear through all of it. You were always blunt and told me how it was when I needed it, and to you, I gave the same. The friendship continued on through multiple girlfriends, new children, jobs, pains, and heartaches. I was part of many families with you, multiple times. I met you in real life a couple years back. I remember saying that I was buying a ticket to fly over there and the light in your eyes told me it was going to be great. From Vancouver, to Chilliwack, to camping by the river, to almost getting washed away…. Because I suck at swimming in currents…. We spent a joyous week of my life together. We partied, chilled, saw “Many Much Moosen”, gamed, ate, camped, cooked, “shot the shit”, and hiked just like we planned to do. Those memories will live with me forever.

Writing this is difficult for me, I feel nothing, no pain, no sadness, no happiness, just logical thought. People say it hasn’t hit me yet, but I know in my heart that I can no longer call you, talk to you, laugh with you, and see you when I come back to Canada. I will not see you online, I will never be able to introduce you to my kids, to my family here, take you around, cook with you, or joke with you. You are gone. This is terrible, I know I should feel terrible, I know I should cry, I want to cry, but I feel nothing, I feel like a huge chunk of me has been taken away. I know that you wouldn’t want people to feel like that, and so I keep going while feeling empty inside. John, Chris, Ian, Jason, Louisa, Maureen, Gordon, Tyler, we all miss you. All of your American side of the family mourns your passing. We are together more than ever, and we just wish we could have been there with you in the end. You were my best friend in the whole damn world, as much as I hope this isn’t a bunch of random gibberish, I know you would get it.

We met a couple years ago when I discovered Ratchets stream, and I made a whole new group of friends. I loved listening to you going on rants about random shit, how you'd always be willing to talk and listen and give advice, especially food. I am sad you have passed on but I know that you are finally at peace and not in pain. I hope you are giving them as much hell up there as you did here on earth.

Justin lived with our family for a number of years. He became like a son to my husband Chris and I and like a brother to our children David and Madison.  We love you Justin and you will be missed. Thanks for being a part of our lives. 

A few years ago I was (begrudgingly) trying to write the words to your wedding speech and here I am now trying to eulogize you equally begrudgingly. It'll probably be so long by the end that no one will read it. I find that thought mildly comforting. For a person who prides themselves on being good with words, it's an odd sensation to be at a loss for what to say. Family is a word that keeps coming up. Brother another. We sure as hell fought like brothers. I have never resented someone I love so much. I have never loved someone I resented so much. You are the only person who has ever incited me to violence. I can still see the lump on your head from where I hit you. That is certainly more than friendship. For someone to inspire such animosity in me but knowing the whole time, no matter the circumstance, that we will always be friends when the debate is settled. I have never met a more confidently wrong individual in my whole life. You could say the stupidest things and convince most people you were right. Not me. Im smarter than you and you know it. But most other people. You were always insightful and self aware though. Truly, you know exactly who you are, for better or worse and consequences be damned. I gave you a place to live many times while you were in transition without hesitation and those were some of the best times I've ever had. It was always a bummer when you would inevitably get your shit together and move out. I regret so much now man. I wish you hadnt moved away. I wish I could have seen you more often the last few years. I wish that you had told me you were sick. I wish that i had been a better big brother to you. Encouraged you to be better instead of teaching you to be worse. I could have inspired you to change. I could have at least tried. I could never match your enthusiasm for video games but you taught me to appreciate and enjoy games and that is an enduring legacy. I will think of you everytime I play. I love you Juice, my little brother. 

Its difficult to realise that Justin is no longer with us. He was one of the first people that joined one of the bigger gaming communities that we were part of, and became a regular member and viewer. I always remember the laughs and jokes and occasional arguments cause of his passion and love of food and cuisine. We'll always remember him for the joy and life he brought to us. He will be missed. Love you buddy, may you rest in peace.

One of my favorite quotes from him was “some people say the glass is half full or half empty but I am a realist when I’m thirsty it is half empty and when I’m not it is half full” not word for word but I remember this and many of his other brilliant comments. I pray that your rest is in Heavenly places now brother. You had a knack for trying to tough it out but sometimes I wish you could have leaned into others a bit more man. You were Loved Justin, and still are, you were a joy to talk to, I never left a conversation with you frustrated or upset. You had a way of opening up my mind and helping me through some of the tough times in my life. I can still hear your voice on the comms. I met Justin way back In middle school and he quickly became one of my best friends.  He gave me my nickname "Danya" and too this day people still call me by it. He saw me through some of my darkest days the last time I saw him and I can say it's because of him that I'm still here. We may of not always seen eye to eye but we always mended the bridge in the end and it was like nothing had happened. You were taken far to soon from this world and will be greatly missed. Justin was never one to sugar coat things, he was direct and thats why I liked him so much as a person. First time I met Justin I was freshly recruited into DHG(a gaming community) at the time I was fifteen and didn't understand how annoying I could be, I'm real lucky and honored to have met and gamed with Justin. He helped me through some tough times, gave me great advice, he was like an older brother to me.
Justin you will never be forgotten man, thank so much for being my friend, mentor and gaming bud. I look forward to spawning in the afterlife and getting to see you again. Til next time Knox.

You were always a blast to be around rather it was playing a game or just sitting there for hours talking, I will miss the conversations we had about life and how to better ourselves. Always a strong opinion no matter the situation and that is what helped me the most because you didn't sugar coat anything. Swat will never be the same without you

I first met Justin around 11 years ago. It was by pure happenstance, but that one moment of us just shooting the breeze and being goofballs while playing Halo were some of the best moments of my life. This grew into a strong friendship where we both were able to just talk to each other about literally anything at any time. His passing caused a massive chasm in my soul and I don't know if anyone or anything could ever replace that. Justin, you will never be forgotten by anyone who ever knew you. I remember during Covid we would play video games together like 13 hours a day. It was awesome. One time he put a C4 on the vehicle I was driving and blew me up(in the game). I was actually mad for a while. You will be missed greatly brother. You were one of my closest friends and cohorts. I carry you with me every day. I continue your legacy when I call people “numpty”.
