She was the first child of Samuel and Sarah (Hintz) Dyck.
Lillian passed to her heavenly home with Jesus on February 5, 2026 in Abbotsford BC.
The family lived in Saskatchewan until 1943 when she was 14 years old.
Lillian attended a typical one room school for her elementary years in Waldheim.
By this time she had a brother Mervin born in 1936 and a sister Eileen born in 1940.
In 1943 the family decided to move to British Columbia where other relatives had already settled.
After completing high school at MEI, Lillian went to normal school to launch her teaching career. She taught in the Mission district for several years before going to Grace Bible School in Omaha, Nebraska.
Lillian had a burning desire to serve the Lord in Missions and applied to GMU, now called Avant, for a position in Columbia which resulted in 15 years of teaching missionary children as well as involvement in other service with the mission. Her fondest memories were from that period of her life.
Health made it necessary to end service in Columbia, but she continued serving with GMU in California and Saskatchewan for some time.
Lillian loved Jesus and served Him faithfully and cheerfully in whatever she found to do.
In later years she helped in the library of her Church, Clearbrook, MB, and also hosted and led a Bible study group of fellow members of her church.
We thank the staff at Fraser Health, Tabor Court and Menno Home for their kind care for Lillian in her later years.
She is remembered by her sister Eileen Esau, and sister-in-law, Agnes as well as cousins and friends.
Lillian is predeceased by her parents, and by her brother Mervin.
