

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Louise Palliser (Mary Lou) on October 15, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in 1933 in Vancouver, B.C., Mary Lou lived a long and fulfilling life, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Mary Lou was a dedicated registered nurse, and throughout her career, she served as head nurse, as well as a number of management positions. Ultimately pediatric nursing was where she found her greatest joy, working with children. Her passion for helping others and her nurturing nature made her a beloved figure in the healthcare community. Her commitment to her profession touched the lives of many young patients and their families.
She was also known for her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit. She touched the lives of many with her generosity, warmth, and positive outlook on life. She will be remembered for her deep love of family near and far, her strength, and her many cherished memories shared over the years.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Gordon, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love and fond memories that will live on in the hearts of their families. She is survived by her son Rick (Lori), daughter Pamela (Joe), stepchildren Debbie, Dru (Don) and Neil, grandchildren Jared, Kaitlyn, Alexandria, Cale, Shanda and Mason, as well as 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will continue to honour her legacy of love and compassion.
