Michael was just the kindest, most gentle soul, and now I am wishing I'd hugged him a little longer the last time I saw him. He was definitely a  precious soul in Jesus' sight.  I know that the next time I see Michael I will be able to give him that longer hug - not of farewell then, but of long-awaited greeting.   May Jesus, in His mercy, blanket Ern and June with His peace during those times when it will be most needed in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Michael and I began our education journey together - he in grade one and I in my teaching practicum.  I enjoyed Michael as a student and in every encounter we've had since then.  He was funny, kind and a good conversationalist.  His voice is silent for now, but on that great getting up morning he'll rise and we can delight in the new earth together. Dear June and Ern,  we were saddened to hear about Michael and have you in our prayers and thoughts that the Lord sustain you through the days ahead.  We have pleasant memories of Michael and his contagious smile even though confined to a wheel chair when we last saw him.  He was special, even his name was special and I told him so.  I remember his telling of being involved harvesting pumpkins in Victoria, something he enjoyed doing in season.  I was unaware of some of the other jobs he was involved with over the years.  We look forward to seeing him, soon now I believe, to celebrate that great "Christmas" together.  Our love and God's blessings.

Dear June and Ern, we have many pleasant memories that will never be erased.  Michael was special in many ways, his name, as I told him also, was very special  (meaning who is like God?).
