

Born in North Bay, Ontario on November 10, 1948 to predeceased parents Alexander "Kip" and Donna Inkster. He was the firstborn of four children; Crystal (Peter) Davis, Andrew (Kathy) Inkster and Scott Inkster (predeceased).
Michael was a proud Ironworker for 45 years and worked out of 3 Ironworker union locals (BC, Alberta and Ontario). He worked in Revelstoke, BC for 14 years (7 years on the Mica Dam and 7 years on the Revelstoke Dam). After a family vacation to Expo '86, he moved his family to Barrie, Ontario for 7 years where he helped erect the Honda Plant in Alliston. In 1998, he and Elaine moved to Leduc, AB for 9 years where he worked on various jobs in Fort McMurray. They then returned home to BC in 2007, where his last job was BC Place. Michael and Elaine resided in Abbotsford for the last 17 years.
Affectionately known as Mike to friends, he thoroughly enjoyed music, playing cards, watching sports, working on vehicles, DIY projects, and camping.
Lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years Elaine, two children Jeffery (Lyn) Inkster (3 grandchildren Maddac, Ferris, Madison) and Michelle (Michael) Lapp, as well as many extended family members and friends.
