I am deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing.
My heart goes out to Wayne and the entire family.

So many wonderful memories.
All of the music and all of the laughter.

Mike Unger was a gentleman, who I will always think of fondly! He was a pleasure to film, playing guitar and great company! There is a place in Heaven for Mike,  God rest his soul in peace.

I'm so very sorry for your/our loss. We All have great memories of Mike that will stay in our hearts and minds forever,. I'm also very sorry I missed his funeral being I found out Mike had passed on April 5th.I always looked up to Mike and always will. A true Honest Caring Generous Human Being. I Feel very Blessed to have Known Him..R.I.P Mike Unger..Until we Meet Again.

Thanks for picking me up that rainy morning on the way to school and cranking Man on a Silver Mountain. I always admired you and thought you were the coolest guy in the hood. I mean you had a motor bike and the best BMX.  
I’ll take good care of the Rickenbacker and think of you when I play it. 

Thanks so much for sharing this ceremony.  I remember visiting my cousin Mike, who was only a few months older than me, in Toronto once, decades ago.  I think it was my first trip "out east", and I had a great day with Mike.  He seemed like a great guy and I remember being super impressed that he seemed to be surviving in the music biz in the big city.  Then, as things go, we completely lost touch.  I never saw him again but I sure thought of him and his brothers and aunt Wilma (long a favorite aunt) exactly five weeks ago when I drove through Abbotsford twice in two days, in between jobs in Vancouver and Kelowna.  I badly wanted to call Aunt Wilma that day, but I knew through the family grapevine that Mike was near the end, and I wanted her to have her privacy.  
Thanks again for sharing with distant family.  You are in our thoughts.

I met Mike at the house on John St, Oshwwa. My friends rented the house. I'd forgotten about the garage, packed with gear. Ive never forgotten at all tho the band, Grietchmeister, and the how the bass player just blew me away. 
I knew he was a pretty special talent from the first notes.
It's a  loving family that enables such a talent to grow to such a  height.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. I hope your fond memories of Mike bring the smiles back to your faces before long. Mike and Tim and I were roommates in the early 90’s in Kitsalano. I last saw Mike doing sound for Tim’s band at my 49th birthday at my house. It was so great to see him and catch up again! I will always remember his good nature, his kind eyes and warm smile. Rest in Paradise, my Friend. You will be missed, xo
