Peter Alvin Suderman

After a lengthy struggle with multiple myeloma Peter passed away at Menno Place on Saturday, December 12. Peter was the 5th child of John P. and Helen Suderman, born on a grain farm near Wawanesa, Manitoba. In 1941 the family moved to Abbotsford, BC., and established a poultry farm and hatchery. From an early age Peter helped with the farm work. He started school in 1942 and graduated from the MEI. He worked for a time at the Kilgard Brick Plant (Abbotsford) before attending UBC where he graduated with a Commerce Degree. He first worked in Mission, BC., before entering Real Estate in which he continued until his retirement. Peter was at home in the Clearbrook and Bakerview churches and served in Sunday School, choir, and ushering. Peter was married to Erica (Sawatzky) who predeceased him. Left to mourn are Peter’s 2 children; Jeff (Heidi) and Jackie and 2 grandchildren; Talia and Ashlee
