

Philip Roland Lang passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on January 17 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife of seventy years Elizabeth and four children Ron (Ingrid) Rick (Sandy) Sue (Daryl) and Sandy (Henry). he leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was born on April 23rd 1936 to Joe and Evelyn Lang where he was raised alongside six brothers and sisters. As a teenager Phil worked at the local railyard, where he gained a love for locomotives that lasted a lifetime. After that he began working for BC Tel, where he remained a valued employee and union brother till his retirement at age 58ish?. Phil loved the outdoors, which showed in his 30 years as a volunteer ski patrol at Mt Baker. When the kids were young, he enjoyed helping with coaching baseball teaching the kids to ski and motorbike in the backcountry. Phil and Liz spent many days out at their cabin on Harrison Lake where they were members at the local yacht club. After he retired, he enjoyed many days with his grandkids passing on his love for the outdoors taking them on hikes and camping at the lake. He and Liz also travelled extensively on their outdoor adventures, which took them to places all over the world. Phil was predeceased by his parents and two sisters Elaine and Marilyn.
