Rose was born on December 30, 1962, in Regina, Saskatchewan to Homer and Helen Greff. She was the youngest of six brothers and sisters and was raised on the family farm in Parry, SK, in a large and loving family, an experience that shaped her deep desire to one day build a family of her own. In 1983, she married the love of her life, Art, and together they shared over four decades of devotion, partnership, laughter and love.
Rose was a deeply loving and supportive mother to her children, Jennifer, Craig, and Adam. She always put her children first, offering unwavering encouragement and love in everything they pursued. Her greatest joy later in life was becoming a grandmama to Violet and Charlotte. She took special pride in creating unique and memorable experiences for them and cherished every moment spent in their presence.
Rose’s love for children extended into her early career when she opened a daycare in Regina in 1985, allowing her to remain at home while raising her own family. When the family relocated to British Columbia in 1992, she continued operating her daycare. In 1995, Rose transitioned into an administrative role, working alongside Art in their business for the next thirty years. During this time, she pursued further education and earned her Certified General Accounting licence. Rose went on to work as a dedicated and accomplished accountant with the Canada Revenue Agency and, more recently, operated her own bookkeeping business. Her integrity, diligence, and commitment were evident in all she did. Although she was successful in her professions, Rose’s most treasured roles were those of wife, mother, and grandmama.
Rose will be lovingly remembered for her bubbly personality, warm spirit, and boundless enthusiasm. A woman of deep faith, her love for God guided her life and shaped her values. She found joy in gardening and traveling with Art, including memorable trips to Israel, South America, and a Route 66 road trip in their Camaro. Above all, Rose cherished time spent with her family.
Rose is survived by her devoted husband, Art Malm; her children Jennifer Fortier (Mike Fortier), Craig Malm (Krista Malm), and Adam Malm (Heather Malm); her beloved grandchildren, Violet and Charlotte; her siblings Carol Klinger, Connie Kastning (Ray Kastning), Charles Greff (Shirley Greff), Morley Greff, and Marilynn McKerricher; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews whom were so precious to her.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 7, 2026, at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. A burial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Musselwhite Cemetery, 35301 Old Yale Road, Abbotsford, BC, with a reception afterward at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home.
Rose’s life was a beautiful testament to love, devotion, and faith. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
