Ruth Viola Clary

Ruth will be deeply missed by her family; her daughter Sheila Thomas (Clinton), daughter Sandra Wilson (Gary), and son Brian Clary (Lorie) and son-in-law John Schneider. She will also be greatly missed by her 10 grandchildren; Shane (Laurie), Stephen (Carmen), Bradley (Jamie), Jeffrey (Kathryn), Carina (Ryan), Liana (Daniel), Lynae (Cole), Matthew, Adam and Jayden, also her 14 great grandchildren, Alexa, Landen, Gabe, Jordan, Trinity, Linden, Nolan, Claire, Leora, Emmett, Eliza, Myra, Layla and Louise and sister Mrytle (Bentley).

Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Laverne Clary, eldest daughter Cheryl Schneider, sister Florence Dunseath and brother Ron Fleming.

Ruth was born in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan on November 18, 1934 to Rev. Frederick Roy and Minerva Fleming. She and her siblings were raised in various towns throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba where her parents pastored. After she graduated from high school, Ruth attended Bethel Bible Institute in Saskatoon, SK where she met the love of her life, Laverne Clary. They were married on July 6, 1955 and immediately began their life of ministry. They pastored churches in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and British Columbia and eventually retired in Surrey BC.

We are saddened by the loss of our wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, but we take comfort knowing she is in heaven with Jesus.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 10:00 am at Surrey Pentecostal Assembly, 16870 80 Ave, Surrey BC.
