Sardar Sadhu Singh Sandhu was born on January 1, 1935 in the village of Chupkiti, district Moga Punjab. He was the only son of the late Sardar Magar Singh Sandhu and Sardarni Nihal Kaur Sandhu. At the early age of 19 he married Sardarni Dhan Kaur of Pind Rajiana, and they were blessed with six sons and one daughter.
He started his life as a very hard working farmer, which was hard to do back in the day, when he had to raise and educate his family. He was very independent and never relied on anyone else for help. Just like his name, Sadhu, he was saint and a very soft hearted person who always joked around with others and put a smile on their faces.
He is survived by his wife Sardarni Dhan Kaur, his sons Karnail Singh Sandhu (Manjit Kaur), Jarnail Singh Sandhu (Inderjit Kaur), Hakam Singh Sandhu (Baljit Kaur), Thana Singh Sandhu (Kuldeep Kaur), Resham Singh Sandhu (Harjit Kaur), and his daughter Jasmer Kaur (Lal Singh). He will be remembered by his grandchildren,Gurjinder, Sukhpal, Gurmit, Gurtej, Sukhdeep, Beant, Jaspreet, Angrej, Joti, Rovi and his great grandchildren, Gurpreet, Gurman, Sukhman, Gobind, Gursimran, Sehaj and Simran.
We dearly love you grandfather, no matter where you are today and you will be missed and remembered by many. May your soul rest in peace.
We love you.
