She is survived by her husband and soul mate Phil, her sons Paul and Mark and grand children Payton, Makenna, Katie, Jack, Charlotte, Rachel, Ben and Lucas and loving in-laws in England.
Sue was born on May 7, 1955 at Hope Hospital in Salford England. When she was just sixteen, standing on the edge of the life ahead of her, she met Philip Sinclair Robinson, the love who would walk beside her for the rest of her life. From that day on, he called her Susie. What began as a teenage romance blossomed into a lifelong friendship, embodying a timeless love intricately woven by fate—meant solely for each other. Together they embarked on life’s journey and began a story that would span fifty four years—a rare and enduring love that never wavered.
Sue and Phil started their family in Manchester with the arrival of their first son, Paul Sinclair Robinson, on September 25, 1979. Two years later, they welcomed Mark Peter Robinson, born on October 3, 1981. In the early 1980s, Sue and Phil courageously decided to leave England and embark on a new adventure in Canada with their two young boys. It was a bold leap of faith, but, as always, they faced this challenge together—side by side, always a team.
Though her heart and home became rooted in Canada with Phil and their sons, she held her family connections in England dear, particularly her bond with her sister, Christine Harrop. Her greatest happiness stemmed from being surrounded by friends and family as well as witnessing the legacy of love that she and Phil began at sixteen bloom and thrive through their sons and grandchildren, bestowing their story upon new generations.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Philip; her sons Paul Robinson and wife Ashley, and Mark Robinson and wife Teal; her eight grandchildren; her sister Christine in England; and extended family and friends in both Canada and the UK.
Her family is forever grateful for the love she gave and shared, and for the example she and Phil provided—a love that grew, endured, and shone brightly through every chapter of their lives, its light now carried on through those she loved most.
On May 7, 2026, we’ll celebrate Sue in the home that was her heart’s anchor.
