Abbigail Maureen Diener was born on February 14, 1981 and passed from this earth on December 16, 2023 at the age of 42. Abbi was a native Abilenian. She graduated from Abilene High School in 2000, where she played the French horn in the school band and was President of a social club. She worked as a teacher at the YMCA daycare, worked at Claire’s at the Mall of Abilene, and was a Phlebotomist at Hendrick Hospital. But the job she held near and dear to her heart was working in Commercial at First Financial Bank in Abilene, where she worked for 11½ years. They were her second family, and she loved them all dearly.
She is survived by her two beautiful children Gage Evans and Aspen Evans, both of Abilene; her parents Arthur and Judy Rocha of Abilene; and many, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Abbi was a special soul. She made a friend wherever she went and touched so many people. She had a glowing smile and an infectious laugh. She never met anyone she didn’t love and would help others in need, no matter who they were. She was a kind and caring soul, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, December 22, 2023 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 US Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Clyde Kieschnick officiating.
