Angelita A. Salazar

Angelita Almaguer Salazar, 73, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, in Arlington, TX. Graveside services will be 11:00a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, 5701 Hwy 277 South. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8p.m. at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South.

Angelita was born to Antonio and Isidra Almaguer on October 1, 1938 in Terlingua, TX. She comes from a family of nine siblings; brothers, Juan, Joe, Eddie, and Tony; sisters, Lupe, Tina, Mary, and Janie.

On January 26, 1958, she married Valentin Salazar, Sr. in Earth, TX. She was a wonderful wife and a great mother. She enjoyed music, singing, dancing and playing guitar. Her biggest joy was keeping peace and her family together. She will be missed.

Survivors include her husband, Valentin Salazar, Sr. of Arlington, TX; her daughters, Linda Tyree and Rachel Salazar Garcia both of Abilene, and Josie Lockett of Arlington, TX; sons, Valentin Salazar, Jr., Steve Salazar and Albert Salazar all of Abilene; 16 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
