

Anna Beth Spillers, 83, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Arbor House Memory Care in Dallas, TX. Annie’s daughters were with her as she joined the love of her life, her husband of 65 years, Jack.
Born January 25, 1932 in Sweetwater, TX, she was the daughter of the late Henry Allen and Minnie Etta Strother. Annie and Jack moved to Abilene in 1955 where she helped Jack open Snowhite Bakery. She was a consummate mother and homemaker for her family. Annie was involved in many community activities, with a main focus on church and church activities as well as Meals on Wheels. She loved entertaining friends, line dancing with the Senior Citizens, camping, traveling, and numerous sports and activities.
Annie Beth is survived by her daughters, Brenda Valderas (Abel), and Barbara Willingham; her brother, Allen Strother; grandchildren, Ray Boyd (Jennifer), Alan Boyd, Dana Elsom (Josh), Caitlin Herring (Brandon), and Taylor Willingham; great-grandchildren, Jackson Boyd, Hannah and Corbin Herring, and Noah and Eve Elsom.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6:00p.m to 8:00p.m. at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:30a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Elmwood West United Methodist Church, 1302 S. Pioneer Dr., Abilene, TX with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or Elmwood West United Methodist Church would be a beautiful tribute to our beloved Mom.
