Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2011, in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, Texas. The family will receive friends at a visitation Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Lunch will be served at the family home, 1843 South 9th Street, Abilene, after the service on Tuesday.
Calvin was born on November 21, 1971 in Houston, Texas to Tommy Lee and Carol Ann McDonald Sewell. He graduated from high school in 1989.
Calvin was an artist in many fields and excelled at all he did. He was kind and generous to all those he saw in need and will truly be missed.
Preceding him in death was his father, Tommy Lee Sewell, in December of 2010.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Sewell of Abilene; his grandmother, Bertie Ruth Sewell; his sister, Shelly Barnes of Midland; five nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Maranda, Joshua, Matthew, and Courtney.
