Comella Joy (Sis) Williams

Comella Joy (Sis) Williams, 80, passed away at home peacefully while sleeping, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Her family was blessed to witness the miracle of her soul part from this life into the arms of our Lord and Savior and into the arms of so many patiently waiting family members and friends.Visitation will be held at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories with burial following at Fort Phantom Cemetery. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. What a sight, such a glorious reunion in Heaven. She always did look forward to reunions. She was born on June 4, 1934, in Brown County to Oliver David "O.D.' and Cullen Comella "Tommy" Nichols. Comella attended school in Nugent and graduated from Lueders in 1952. She was a very hard worker plowing fields, tending oil leases, fixing the cars, owning and operating several restaurants and always had time to curl the hair of her daughters. Comella could do it all. With a kind heart and a big smile, she loved and helped everyone. She loved "her" Dallas Cowboys and playing cards with her "sisters". She will be missed. She was the best "little granny" and the "greatest momma" in the world. Till we meet again.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James David (Jimmy) Vinson; a daughter, Lana Rae Vinson; a great-grandson, Bryson Pate Hewitt; a sister, Audie Lucille (Tiny) Nichols; brothers, Doyle Nichols, Harvey Nichols, and Tommy Nichols; and a son-in-law, Richard Guerrero.

Comella is survived by her daughters, Debbie Guerrero and Cindy Sanders (husband) Tim of Abilene; her brothers, Mack Nichols of Anchorage Alaska, John Nichols (wife) Sue of Anson, and Jay Boyd Nichols (wife) Alice of Anson; sister, Nancy Isom of Merkel; grandchildren, Gina Guerrero-Hewitt (children) Curtis, Megan, Coen, and Jackson, Shannon Heuermann (children) Caylin and Keyleigh, Justin Rister (wife) Jessica (children) Raelee, and Adley, Daniel Vinson (wife) Margo (children) Khaig, Khirey, and Braxton, Comella Vinson (children)Shaylen, Alissa, and Chastin, Timmy Sanders (wife) Ashley (child) Ayden, Cyle Sanders (children) Paislee, Hudson, and Payton, Jimmy Sanders (wife) Autumn and (child) Laina; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless other family members and friends.
