

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 North 2nd, Abilene, with Jamie McCravey officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Community Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, at the funeral home.
Coy was born July 29, 1934 to Mamie (Long) and Christopher Columbus Angley in Haskell, Texas. He married Glenda Riddle on January 21, 1955 in Haskell, Texas. Coy worked in the Pipe Field for Fort Worth Pipe and Supply until his retirement in 1997. He was employed by Smith Pipe as a long-life tester in Abilene and worked for the City of Abilene as a Driver of Trash Collection. Coy enjoyed fishing and camping out in Paint Rock, Texas; telling jokes; and watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He loved his family very much. Coy enjoyed driving the Sunday School Bus for Trinity Baptist Church. Everyone called him "Cotton". Coy was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by all.
Coy was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Roy Angley; brothers, Floyd Angley, Jack Angley, Bill Angley, and Holbert Angley; and sisters, Nettie Tonche and Bennie Kingery.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Angley of Abilene; son, Coy Angley, Jr. of Amarillo, Texas; daughters, Linda Sumrall and husband, Gene, of Denison, Texas, Shirley Loven of Sweetwater, Texas, and Becky Yarbough and husband, Elvey, of Abilene; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
