Cynthia Anne Caceres, 71, a beloved mother and wife, passed away on May 20, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her husband and partner of 50 years, Frank, her son Chris,
and her daughters Samantha and Kristen.
She was born in Greenville, TX on December 4, 1953, and spent her early days in Wolfe City being whip smart in the classroom. She carried her love for reading and learning all throughout her life. Whether she was trying her hand at a new type of jewelry-making, discovering a new part of the country in the car with her family, or following the adventures of Hercule Poirot, she was always taking in the world in new and creative ways.
Cynthia had a unique gift for loving everyone she met without limits, especially if they could take a joke and make one occasionally. She also had a passionate love for animals and rescued countless dogs and cats in the 45 years she and Frank shared in Abilene.
She was extraordinarily bright, generous, kind, and oh so sarcastic. Cynthia could make her husband and children laugh through almost any circumstance, a priceless trait. She also poured her heart into her cooking, baking, and tokens of appreciation. This was never more obvious than it was every holiday season with the weeks and months she put into planning every detail; from the snacks for every diet to the homemade bows to the stuffed stockings, she quietly and humbly made each person lucky enough to be in her orbit feel seen and heard and loved.
Cynthia was her family’s North Star. She was as beautiful on the outside as she was within and her family will spend the rest of their days striving to carry her generosity and selflessness forward.
