Darrell Vaughn Mills

Darrell Vaughn Mills, age 50, of Abilene, Texas, left this world on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas. Rev. Harlley Hunt will be officiating.

He was born Monday, July 12, 1971, in Odessa, Texas to parents Aubrey and Bernice Mills. He moved to Levelland, Texas with his parents and siblings in February 1984. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1989.

He then moved to Abilene, Texas to begin his career as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician. He worked at Hendricks Hospital until 2020. At that time, he transitioned to a new work location, Fresenius Kidney Care Rolling Plains in Sweetwater, Texas, where he continued to care for dialysis patients.

He truly enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his beloved family and friends and hunting. He was an avid gun collector. He met the love of his life, Becky Hill, and they had been together ever since.

He is preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Martin Mills.

He is survived by his mother, Bernice Mills, of Sundown; wife, Becky Hill, of Abilene; son, Nathon Vaughn Mills, of Abilene; daughter, Courtney Ann Mills, of Abilene; brother, Rev. Bill and wife Dana Mills of Minden, Louisiana; sister, Katherine Ladon and husband Rev. Harlley Hunt of Levelland; sister, Loretta and husband Lynn Lewis of Sundown, brother Aubrey Michael and wife Donna Mills of Amarillo; sister, Janell and husband Ramiro (Chano) Cirilo of Lubbock; brother, James and wife Snow of Lubbock; and two grandsons, Oliver (4) and Awbry (2), both of Abilene.

He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and countless friends that will miss him forever.
