Deloris was born on July 1, 1926 in Phelps City, MO to the late Lyndall Bray and Zena Hinrichs. She grew up on the family farm. In 1941 she married Willis Eugene Bailey. After he was honorably discharged from the military they stayed in Missouri and farmed for several years before relocating to Abilene, Texas in 1951. In 1958 the family moved back to Missouri. And then finally settled back in Abilene in 1963 where she lived until moving with her daughter in Kilgore last year. Deloris was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church and then became a devoted member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. When she could no longer attend she enjoyed listening to the service and supporting her church financially. She was a devoted Christian, she held her Christian values and faith in high regard as well as the Word of God. She read through the Bible several times throughout her life. Deloris took great pride in her family, she was a devoted home maker. Other than around the farm Deloris never worked outside the home or ever drove a car. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.
