

Frankie was born on November 6, 1933, to Jeff and Aileen Brown, in Pampa, Texas. She passed away at the age of 91, on May 15, 2025, in Abilene, Texas. Frankie was a beautiful, hardworking, spirited women who dearly loved her family.
As a child, Frankie lived with her mother and step-father, Ed Baker, who was in the US Air Force. She attended schools in EL Paso, Texas, Battle Creek, Michigan, Fort Worth, Texas, Vallejo, California, before she graduated high school in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Of all the places she lived during her life, Florida was by far her favorite. She often spoke of the hours she and friends spent at the beach and how beautiful it was. Soon after graduating high school, she married and moved to El Paso.
As a young mother, she started a day care in her home and kept children until all of her own children were of school age. She then started to work outside her home and had several careers in her lifetime. She was a bailiff for Sheriff Mike Sullivan, a job she truly enjoyed. She later worked at the El Paso County Tax Office and Mountain Bell Telephone Company before opening an elderly care facility in her home, which she owned and operated for 25 years. Frankie began attending classes at the University of Texas at El Paso and El Paso Community College in 1987. In 2000, Frankie began working for the Ysleta Independent School District as a Teacher’s Aide and retired in 2010. She moved to Abilene in 2012 to be near her family.
Frankie made friends quickly. She was articulate entertaining, funny and a great story teller. She loved a two-hour lunch followed by shopping or an evening dinner and a movie. She also enjoyed being home. She was an immaculate housekeeper and had a beautiful appointed home.
Frankie was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Aileen Baker and father Jeff Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Sean Schubert and her husband Bill, son Bill Thompson and his wife Gaile and daughter Carlisle Ardoin and her husband Wade. Her grandchildren are Kristi Ling, Angel (Dustin) Wilson, Shauna (Nicolas) Yinger, Heike Schubert, Cole (Eden) Thompson, Seth (Johanna) Ardoin, Kelly (Robby) Felix , Jordan (Holly) Ardoin and 18 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services officiated by Pastor Matthew Broyles will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories, 5701 Highway 277 South Abilene, Texas 79606.
