

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home 5701 Hwy. 277 S. in Abilene. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Glenna Mardelle Taylor was born June 11, 1930 in Stamford, Texas to the late William and Ruby (Reid) Taylor. She graduated from Stamford High School and went on to attend Hardin-Simmons. She married Millard A. Jenkens, Jr. in 1948 until his passing. She later married Dr. Hinton “Juby” Hamilton, MD and enjoyed many beautiful years until his passing. Glenna loved the great outdoors and enjoyed gardening.
Glenna’s faith in God, her farm girl grit and her inner determination allowed her to meet many trials in her life and overcome them. She leaves a legacy of love and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; three children, Garlan F. Jenkens, Philip H. Jenkens, and Melinda A. Hudgens; daughter-in-law, Lynda “Kathy” Jenkens; three brothers, and one sister
She is survived by her son, William “Rusty” Jenkens; 2 granddaughters, Miranda Brown, and Lisa Blanton; great-grandchildren, Chris Brown, Brooke, Lauren, and Noah Blanton; two step-children, Dr. Hinton H. Hamilton, III and wife, Sandy, and Tina Seaman; and a son-in-law, Michael Hudgens; a host of other relatives and friends.
