

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home 5701 Hwy. 277 S. in Abilene at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Tuscola Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday evening at the funeral home from 6-8:00 PM
Harold was born on April 18, 1943 in Abilene to the late Marvin E. and Mable (Milliron) Crawford. He grew up in Abilene where he attended local schools. He married Kathryn June Askew in 1961. He was a career truck driver originally working for the G I trucking company in California for many years before he and his late wife established K&H Development Corp. He later married Betty Newton Anderson on January 15, 2005. He will be remembered for his love of riding his Harley, spending time creating memories with his beloved family, and his friends who became his family. His legacy of love and a strong work ethic will live on in his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Kathryn June Crawford; his daughter, Lourie Crawford; and his son, Richard Crawford; his daughter-in-law, Vicky Crawford; his brothers, Marvin Orlan Crawford, and L.J. “Charlie Crawford; and his sisters, Verna M. Lewis and Louise Meyer; two step-daughters, Amanda Riddle and Sherry Gosney.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Newton Crawford; son, David Crawford and wife De Ann; 17 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; his last surviving sibling, Mildred Doss; two stepsons, Shanon Seals and Jason Anderson; sister-in-laws, Dorothy G. Crawford and Debbie Dibble; a host of nieces, nephews; and adopted children who he loved as his own.
