Hubert Russell Cockerell

According to his wishes, Hubert will be cremated. Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 from 10am to 11am at Bethel Assembly in Anson with a memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. Cody Cochran will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Donnie. He is survived by son, Lance of Clyde; grandchildren, Cylee and Cole of Clyde; brother Sammy of Abilene/Tye, numerous cousins, and a host of friends.

An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Hubert was never happier than when he was hunting, talking about hunting, or planning to go hunting. He was known for always wearing long handles, even in the summer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, TX 79605.
