

James "Jim" Moody, 49, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at his residence in Abilene. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. with Rev. Edwin Parker and Rev. LaFoy Parker officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
James was born on February 23, 1962 to Phillip and Helen (Parker) Moody in Farmington, N.M. He was a truck driver and had worked in construction and in the oil field. Most recently he was employed by Property Service Specialties maintaining rental properties. James was a Pentecostal.
Preceding him in death was his father, Phillip Moody.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Ross and husband, Terry of Abilene; his son, James Moody, Jr. of Penrose, Colorado; his daughter, Jessica Moody of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Thomas Moody of Farmington, N.M. and Nicholas Woodall of Baird, TX; a sister, Tiffany Mitchell of Abilene; niece, Heather Marie Lane of Abilene and numerous other nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Open Door AA Organization.
