

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 22nd, at Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St., Abilene with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary was born in Georgetown, Texas on October 19, 1924, to John Cashen and Lydia (Lockhart) Cashen. She married Jack Clarence Robertson on December 21,1941.
She retired from the Federal Government’s Farmer’s Home Administration as an Agricultural Loan Administrator where she received an Outstanding Service Award. Mary was very active in her church, Trinity Church of the Nazarene, Abilene, TX. She received the Second Mile Award from the District office for The Church of the Nazarene for her work as a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, reading, and writing.
One of her greatest accomplishments is having her book “Living with Dying” published. She was a member of Abilene Writer’s Guild for many years as well as NARF (National Association of Retired Federal Employees). Mary will be greatly missed and we Love her.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Jack Robertson; son, James T. “Tommy” Robertson; a granddaughter, Jaclyn Robertson; and her parents, John and Lydia Cashen.
Survivors include Johnny DeLong, her sister of Shelby, OH; her sons, Dennis Robertson of Richmond, VA and Jackie Robertson of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I; grandchildren, Juanette Giles and Jens Robertson of Abilene, Keith Robertson, David Robertson, and Laura Beth Robertson of Richmond, VA; great-grandchildren, Micheal Bertran, Stacia Lopez, Karis Giles, and Alex Robertson, of Abilene; also Vicky Stevenson, her Best Friend of 50+ years.
