

Mike “Stan” Stanislawczyk, 80, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 in Abilene, TX. Graveside services will be 2:00p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Sunday evening, August 30, 2015 from 7:00p.m to 9:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Mike was born on July 9, 1935 to the late Michael and Mary Paborski Stanislawczyk in Conamaugh, Pennsylvania. He married Lillie J. Rickman on October 6, 1962 in Nebraska. Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Army/Air Force for a combined total of 30 years. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1984 and then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for about 10 years. After that, he was half owner in a small engine repair shop for several years.
Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, John Stanislawczyk and Catherine Wyrwas. Survivors include his wife of almost 53 years, Lillie J. Stanislawczyk; three daughters, Sharon Ochs and husband Dale of Lewisville, TX, Karen McKenna and husband Mark of Abilene, and Debra Brossette and husband Lawrence of Willow Park, TX; three sisters, Irene Piker of Arizona, Clara Garcia of Ohio, and Bernice Popp of Michigan; brothers, Joe Stanislawczyk of Arizona and Steve Stanislawczyk of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Thomas Ochs, Kimberly Daniels, Robert Michael McKenna, and Shelby and Trevor Brossette; great-grandchildren, Bryson and Dillon Evans.
