

Nadine Christopher Bradshaw, 99, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at a local care facility. Funeral services will be 10:00a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Nadine was born October 10, 1913 to Bill and Dora Belle Christopher in Rotan, TX. She attended school at Wise Chapel in Jones County, Texas and married J.N. Bradshaw on November 12, 1932. She was a member of North Park Baptist Church for over 60 years.
Nadine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved to cook good meals for her family, especially egg custard pies. The girls in the family were blessed with beautiful dresses that she stayed up late at night sewing. She was a perfect description of the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31.
Preceding her in death were her husband, J.N.; her parents; two sons, Frank and Don Mack Bradshaw; daughter-in-law, Pat Bradshaw; one grandson, Justin Neal Bradshaw; one great-grandson, Roy Wiloth; five sisters, Nioma Chance, Ruth Holloway, Willa Mae Gardner, Mildred Fisher, and Evelyn Watson; four brothers, Babe Christopher, Cleo Christopher, Willie Christopher, and T.B. Christopher.
Nadine is survived by one son, Johnny and wife, Sue; two daughters, Patsy Blackburn and husband, Bob, and Paula McCorkle and husband, Weldon; eleven grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
