Robert Leland Kinkade

Leland was born August 19, 1937 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to Virgil Raymond Kinkade and Martha Elizabeth Taylor. Leland attended high school in Odessa, Texas, after which he proudly served the USA in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.

Leland went on to become a photographer, worked for the local newspaper, then consecutive TV stations and owned a photography studio. He also did portrait photography for stores like Gibsons and Kmart. Leland also loved and cared for animals. Leland’s heart was at home in the mountains and was a prior resident of Odessa, TX, Kenner, LA and Heavener, OK.

Leland loved the Lord with his whole soul. At the time of his passing Leland attended and served as a Deacon at Wylie Baptist Church in Abilene, where he was beloved by friends and clergy. He was also an adopted Grandpa to many.

Leland was predeceased by wives Betty Joyce Bolton and his beloved wife Linda Kay Dodson Kinkade.

He is survived by Fiancé, Victoria Garcia; daughter, Pam Kinkade Onofino; sons: Randy Kinkade, Ric Kinkade, Matthew Lee Bolton-Kinkade & Claudia Brawner of Fairview, OK; step-daughter, Cindy Dodson of Midland, TX; 5 grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Garrett Guess of Rhome, TX, Khance-Lee Kinkade, Harley Kinkade, Moyra Kinkade & Damon Kinkade, all of Fairview, OK.

A celebration of life will be had on August 26 at Wylie Baptist Church at 2:30 PM. Interment will be at a future date.
