

Ronnie Allen Baker, age 68, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on January 3rd, 2026. Born to Floyd and Juanita Baker on June 3rd, 1957, in Albany, Texas. In 1980, he married Mary Jean Unrue, and together they made their home in Abilene, Texas, raising three children.
Ronnie earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology from Texas Tech University in 1990.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Baker; his son, Brian Baker; and his daughters, Sarah Bentley and Ellen Ygnacio. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren: Halle, Carlie, Abby, Cade, Ben, Will, Holden, Bella, Emma, and Lia. His siblings Linda Snow, Douglas Baker, and Paula Jean Miller also cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Floyd Baker; his sisters, Katherine Baker and Elizabeth Baker; his brothers, Robert Baker and Floyd Junior Baker; and his nephew, Brannan Miller.
Ronnie was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps between 1975 and 1979. He went on to devote 35 years to advancing the C130 flight simulator program with CAE. From 2011 through 2017, Ronnie held the position of site manager in Saudi Arabia. Afterward, he continued his career at multiple locations throughout the US. He found pleasure in beach walks, fishing, camping trips to Colorado, deer hunting, telling jokes, and brightening the life of his wife, Mary Jean.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 30th at 3:00 pm at the Veterans Cemetery, located at 7457 W. Lake Road, Abilene, TX 79601. A church service will follow on Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 am at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 525 Beech St., Abilene, TX 78601.
