Ruth M. Garrett of Abilene passed away at the age of 98 on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Hendricks Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1:00p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd with Roy Keith officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at 12:00p.m. (one hour prior to the service) at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Abilene City Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home.
Ruth was born July 26, 1913 and grew up in Ardmore, OK. She enjoyed a full, rich life surrounded by many loving friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Garrett and her son, Maurice Hughes.
