Shonda Lyn Maxwell

Shonda Lyn Maxwell, 43, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Hope Church of Christ, 831 N. Judge Ely, Abilene, TX.

Shonda was born in Abilene on June 29, 1972 to Terry Glenn Maxwell and Dee Laverne Rogers. She liked playing cards, dominoes, and doing puzzles. Shonda loved being outdoors and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. She spent the majority of her time with her friends and family and her favorite color was purple.

Before becoming disabled, Shonda worked with home health care and did some roofing.

Preceding her in death was her father; her grandparents; and her uncle, Jimmy Rogers. Survivors include her mother, Dee Flores and her son, Ryan Maxwell (Alysa) both of Abilene; two daughters, Meagan Mills of Stephenville and Hailey Mills of Abilene; a brother, Jimmy Maxwell of Abilene; and three grandchildren, Mia Maxwell, Brenden Patrick, and Nicolas Patrick, Jr.
